More Art Camp

Today was another wonderful day at Art Camp! Today's theme was "cupcakes" and she made lots of goodies. She brought home a bar of soap that was decorated with cupcake decals all over it.....attached was a sign that read "Thank you Lord for washing away all my sins". Have I mentioned I LOVE this camp?!?!?!?!? It's so wonderful to hear her tell her "version" of what they learn each day -- so proud of you sweet Reese!

Wonderfully Made.....

This week, Reese is going to Art Camp and it is a H.I.T. She loves it. We go to bed talking about Art Camp and we wake up talking about Art Camp. Today, on the way home from camp, she asked me, "mommy, how many more days do I get to go to camp?" I told her she had three more days left and she quickly responded with, "well, can you sign me up for the next week too?!?!?!" So happy she is having so much fun! They are making so many cute, Christ centered crafts and learning about the Bible while having fun -- I will be so excited when Charlie can go next year. Her favorite craft from today (aside from the ice cream sundae's that they got to make and eat for snack!) was a little flower pot that she got to decorate with little rhinestones and it has her name and the Bible verse, "I am wonderfully made" on it......so sweet.

(You'll have to excuse the dress up clothes, we come straight home and immediately play dress up every day!!)

So Proud

So this is a total "for my memory" post, a few pictures that reminds me of just how fast my sweet Reese is growing up. I decided for Father's Day to let she and Charlie decorate Joe's card on their own. She told me she wanted to write her name on his card all by herself, something we've been working on, and this is the first time it has actually been put on paper and you can actually see what it says.....I think I cried when she was all done! After we were done, she got so much praise, she wanted to write "Dad" on the envelope! I am so proud of you sweet girl. I will probably frame this and hang it on my wall!

You can see all the "C's" on the card too -- that's as far as we've gotten with Charlie right now!

Gatlinburg!

We took a little trip to Gatlinburg with my parents, Kristen and Kris this past week for a long getaway -- it was such a good trip. We rented a chalet in Wears Valley, about 30 minutes outside Gatlinburg and it was beautiful! Our first day there, we went to a yummy pancake house for breakfast and then roamed the streets of Gatlinburg. The kids loved the candy stores and arcades that lined the streets. It got pretty hot by mid-day, so we decided to go to the aquarium -- so much fun! After a long day, we came back to the chalet and got in the hot tub.....it was so nice to sit outside and look at the pretty view from our chalet. Sure do wish Alabama would have nice cool weather like in the mountains - when we got home on Sunday, it was 97 degrees -- geez, it's going to be a long hot summer!!

They found this bear when we were walking through downtown......

Yummy suckers!!

Charlie was obsessed with this air hockey game.....it was minitaure, so it was a perfect size for him. We had to bribe him to leave everytime we went!

Aquarium!!

See my mom crawling through the penguin tunnel with the kids? Hilarious!

Jurassic Boat Ride

On Friday, Joe, my dad and Kristen and Kris went on a zip line adventure. Since I'm preggo and the kids are too young, mom and I had our "own little adventure day!" It actually went by really fast and was a lot of fun for us. Mom and I took the kids on a Jurassic Boat Ride (little scary for the kids, but fun!) and to the outlet malls to do some shopping. That night we had dinner and walked around downtown Gatlinburg. Fun, fun day, but sad I have no pics of everyone zip lining. I only took one pic all day -- such a shocker!!

Ober Gatlinburg

On Saturday, we decided to spend the day at Ober Gatlinburg. Other than the weather being yucky outside that afternoon, it was a perfect day! The kids learned to ice skate and rode the carousel a bazillion times.....a perfect day for them!!

Not sure why, but when she would pass us by on the carousel, this is the pose she threw out every time.....go figure?!?!?!?

Alright daddy, let's try this out! (It was hilarious, but they actually caught on pretty quick and enjoyed the entire experience!!)

Little wobbly at first!

Papa giving Charlie a pep-talk!

Reese really did good -- she caught on really fast and acutally could balance herself by the end of her "training!"

Kristen and Kris got a kick out of watching!

The Track!!

One of our favorite places to go in Gatlinburg is The Track! The kids LOVE this place -- this year, we added a new twist to the trip, the kids rode the go karts. I think this was the most fun they had the whole trip. You couldn't have wiped the smiles off their faces! It's hard to catch a good pic when your flying past me in a go kart, but I did my best and caught a few!!

We rode the swings....

The spinning cups......

We rode in airplanes......

and choo choo trains!

Then it was on to the go karts! The pictures speak for themselves!

A good time was had by everyone!

Happy Father's Day!

Our last day in the mountains was Father's Day. I'm not being boastful, but I think we have some of the best daddy's out there! We gave dad his gifts before heading home and took a few quick pics. Happy Happy Father's Day Dad and Joe -- you guys are the best!!

Mason had his birthday party last weekend and it was a blast for the kids. Charlie got all into the games with Joe and Reese enjoyed hanging with the "big girls".....Happy Happy Birthday Mason! We love you and had so much fun at your party!!!

This was Charlie's favortie game.....the motorcycle!

We can NEVER go to an arcade without finding the basketball game.....it's a little bit amazing how good he is at this.....he doesn't miss many!
